Today, SVI brings this heritage into contemporary design through genuine leather and woven craftsmanship. Each piece reflects a balance of traditional skills, thoughtful design, and the natural character of leather.
Beyond the Bag
Every SVI bag begins with research, design, and careful material selection. From colour and silhouette to pattern making, dyeing and weaving, each stage is developed and refined by experienced hands.
Our distinctive woven leather mats give each piece its rich texture and character. From the first concept to the finished bag, the process can take around 6 months, bringing together design, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The loom is at the center of every SVI bag, where skilled craftspeople use semi-automatic weaving techniques to transform fine leather strips into our signature woven panels. It’s a meticulous process, built on time-tested craftsmanship, amplified by modern precision to create the perfect balance of structure, softness and a seamless finish.
Each panel is then hand cut, edge-painted, stitched and assembled with a mastery that permits no shortcuts. The result? A woven leather that feels luxurious to the touch, looks polished and can stand up to everyday life.
